How many of you out there have tried Kenra shampoo? I had heard decent things about this brand but had never tried it until recently when I got a sample hair spray at Ulta. I really liked it, and when my shampoo ran out I wanted to try a new one. I ran across this one and thought, why not?
Recently I have been using sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, like the Living Proof line. But after using that for several months my hair got used to it and was too oily. When I switched to this one, I picked the sulfate free version of this one too. This is the Platinum Reparative version.
First of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell. I can't remember having a shampoo that smelled this good. I wish I had bought some kind of leave in serum so the smell would hang around a little longer.
Some of the reviews said that this shampoo didn't lather well, but I didn't find this to be the case. Granted I'm used to using sulfate free, but I think it lathers just as well as regular shampoo. I also thought that it made my hair dry a little straighter, which is a plus for me because I don't like it curly. I think it also helps control frizz and humidity in your hair, which keeps it straighter too.
Overall, I am so glad I bought this shampoo! I don't see any negatives about it, and if you get it from Ulta now, you get a free hairspray sample as well. Let me know what other Kenra products you love, especially if you use a leave in product!
