New Favorite Eye Routine

Easy to Use Eye Makeup Routine

Maybelline Review

Maybelline Age Rewind Review

Maybelline Color Tattoo Review

After all the hype I finally decided to try the Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Spot Eraser. I really loved my CoverGirl Cover Up Stick (not pictured) at first, but over time it just didn't seem to take away the dark spots under my eyes all day long by itself. I felt like I needed an extra boost. I heard great things about the Age Rewind, so decided to give it a go. From what I read, people loved the "brightener" shade, which isn't really a shade.

All I can say is I love this stuff. It goes on really easy, and really does hide my under eye circles. It is a brightener, so it is a little lighter than my skin tone, even though I am pretty fair, so I use my Cover Girl cover up stick on top of it. This combo seems to hold all day long, even through my 12 hour shifts.

I also really wanted to try the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow. Normally I stay away from cream eye shadows because I am just not an expert at putting these on. I feel like it always looks way too dark, and then creases up soon after applying. But the reviews were great, and what really won me over was the neutral colors because that's what I wear the most.

I went with Creamy Beige and Barely Branded. The Barely Branded was just a little dark in the container, but was much lighter when I put it on. I decided to use my same eye primer that I have been for several months - NYX - which actually kept the creases away. This shadow isn't something I wear all day, as I do feel it would eventually crease. But for other functions and outings, it works perfect and I actually like it a lot more than I anticipated. It was really just as easy to apply as powder eye shadow.

I'll for sure be using the Age Rewind again when I run out, and would be open to trying other shades of the Color Tattoo. Has anyone else tried other shades that ended up becoming a favorite?

  6. The color tattoos are so good- maybe my favorite drugstore beauty product ever. I have that concealer in one of the regular shades and it doesn't really work for me so I definitely wish I would have picked up the brightening shade instead!

  7. My friend used the spot eraser on me on my wedding and I loved the results!!! I've been wanting to try the color tattoo myself for a while. I used to wear cream shadow all the time, but I've gotten in a routine of the basic powder shadows. I love the shades you picked!
