Changes?

This little blog has been a little neglected the past two weeks, which makes me sad! I've just been feeling a bit under the weather and things have come up. I think going to dayshift has jolted my routine as well. I am hoping to get back on track soon!

However, I am contemplating some blog changes. I think every blogger has thought about this at one time or another as she goes through different things from day to day and week to week. I am considering changing my posting schedule from four times a week, to three. Has anyone else changed up their blogging schedule with any success?

I am interested to hear your tips on how you keep up when you have busy weeks?? I would love any advice on this if you'd like to share!

Until next week, I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend!

  1. I've been debating on making some changes too so I know how you feel. My new job has me SO busy and I'm gone from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday-Friday so it doesn't leave a lot of time for blogging. I've been trying to write and schedule all my posts in advance but that definitely doesn't always work! Good luck girl!

  2. I think every blogger goes through this at some point or another - as long as you're up front and transparent with your readers about the schedule change, it shouldn't be a big deal! At the end of the day, you have to take care of yourself and what's going on in your real life. Good luck!

  3. I currently do 4x a week, but two are easy - my High Five for Friday and my What I Wore Wednesday - I think cutting back to 3x a week is just fine. I'm probably going to be doing that in March or April. Quality content is definitely better than quantity, and if you're not into it, well... it's not going to be quality!

  4. Four times a week posting was very exhausting for me, plus it left little to know time to actually hang out with my fiancé, who I live with!, because I was glued to my laptop each evening after work. I changed to three times a week and the balance is so much better. I can't recommend it enough! It also has the added benefit that each post gets more exposure and is seen more because there is a little longer between new posts! I'm sure you'll figure out a new routine that works best for you! It can be quite the juggling act I've found!

  5. I think as long as your doing it for you, do what keeps you happy, that's the most important thing!

  6. I think the glory of a blog and blogland and it's a "do what you want/what works for YOU" type thing. There are weeks I post 5 times. There are weeks I don't post at all. The key is to never force it. I find that when people hold themselves to too strict a schedule, their content feels forced and readers lose interest.

  7. I tend to write the majority of my posts and take pictures on the weekend, the week is just too chaotic and I don't have the time to put in. So during the week I find myself writing down moments of inspiration that I can use for next weeks posts.

  9. Do whatever works best for you friend! Yes, I changed mine to 2-3 times a week a long time ago and it made all the difference for me. Remove the pressure, blog when you want :)

  10. I agree with Mia - do what you need to do! 3 posts a week (plus reading everyone's posts, commenting and responding to your own comments) easily starts to feel like a "job" and not fun when you're immersed in blogging. You'll find what works for you (and you know your blog friends will be ready and waiting when you are able to post!). xx

  11. Definitely do what works best for you! I think readers appreciate 3 posts you put time into rather than 4 rushed ones. Plus, it's about making blogging fun for you, anyways!

  12. I can relate to this true and love what everyone else has already commented. Sometimes I think cutting back gives you a little break so you can focus more on each post or having posts ready to go in advance.
