2014 Recap!

I feel like there is an unwritten rule that if you blog, you have to do a year end recap. Almost every blog I read has done one. Lucky for me, I love these kinds of posts! It's fun to look back and see how these blogs have changed over the year, posts you missed, and how great everyone's year was!
I put together 14 (2014 - no brainer) of my top posts from this past year! These were some of the most popular, and some of my favorites as well!

This is by far one of my favorite outfits that I have posted! And what's even better is that I got it for a steal! This looks can be summery or wintery, and it worked for fall too! To me, those kinds of outfits are so important so that you can get a lot of use out them!

In keeping with the vacation theme on my blog that week, I wanted to do a post about what I cannot leave at home when I leave for vacay! I was packing my bags for this weekend, and wahlah! This post was inspired.

I don't know about you, but mint and tulle is just pretty much the best combo ever. Its girly, it can be dressed up or down, and its just plain fun. Is anyone else with me on this?!

These smoothies help me stay within my calorie goal, and the ingredients are normal ones - unlike some of those diet foods out there.

Today's OOTD is one that I was so excited to wear! I have wanted a pair of palazzo pants for-ev-er!! And I finally found some that I loved, weren't see through, and were on sale! That's pretty much a win-win in my book.

I wanted a new colorful banner for our mantle for Valentine's Day. I am so tired of all the white and dreary grey from the snow. I am so ready for spring! So I spruced up our living room with bright pink and red!

It was so hard which outfit to choose for this post this week because the weather was so nice and warm and I had so many options! I ended up choosing what I wore to church on Sunday morning earlier in the week!

We're on the verge of finally getting our guest bedroom repainted and redecorated - yay! I'm trying to get ideas of the finishing touches that I want to add to the room, so of course, I headed over to pinterest.

I thought I would share these today instead of 5 on Friday, or we could call it sarcastic 7 on Friday :)

One of the best things about this week: it's my husband's last week on nightshift! For the first time since we've started dating, we'll both be on dayshift!
Because we've literally been working opposite shifts the last few weeks, my OOTD photographer in training hasn't been as available. So this week's post will be in a little different format - as in, my outfit before I actually put it on.

Who else thinks that shopping for glasses is frustrating and time consuming? Because of this, I usually tend to buy my glasses online rather than spend hours in the store with sometimes annoying salesmen.

Sometimes, the simplest outfits are the best ones. They are easy to throw together, easy to accessorize, and easy to dress up or dress down. Not to mention, usually pretty comfy.

The California Smoothing Treatment can be purchased on Amazon, or at a beauty supply store like CosmoProf. It is an all natural treatment, without chemicals. This is what the kit will look like.
Which one of these was your favorite? What was your favorite post from your blog for 2014? Happy New Year!!

  3. I think I got the same pair of shades from Firmoo (loving them so far!). I love the mint and tulle outfit post, although the floral one shoulder piece is a close second.
