Weekending! Thanksgiving or Christmas?

You can tell it's that time of year again for sure - everyone's blog posts are filled with stuff about the holidays! It seems like Christmas has arrived extra early this year, but for some reason this time I don't mind. We had a very Christmas-y filled weekend, and celebrated one of our Thanksgivings too!

We went to a tree farm and picked out our trees! We got two this year - I'll explain that in a later post. It's a bit early for a tree, but because both of our families live 3 and 6 hours away, we never really get to enjoy it around Christmas anyway because we're always traveling. This way we get to enjoy it longer! And the tree farm was just so pretty!

Ollie was my little tree helper, if you saw my instagram. I'll explain more about my "fun" tree in a later post, but this tacky tree topper was just perfect for it. When my grandma was still putting up her tree, she had one just like this, and it reminds me of her. I just had to have it and it doesn't look half bad!

I am waiting for the Advent series to come out in the She Reads Truth app, so I got this 6 day series to hold me over until then. Plus, it was free! So if you're looking for a quick week long devotional in this app, this is the one! I started it today!

Ollie found his Christmas present for the THIRD time, so it was time to give it up and let Christmas come early for him. This puppy momma got tired of re-hiding them. He just cried and cried every time he found it. He was so happy when I let him have it!

I hope your weekend was great, I can't wait to read about it! I am linking up as usual!

  2. I'm so jealous that you have your tree(s) up already! That makes a lot of sense though considering your travel schedule. I can't wait to read all about the little details you did with your decorating. Happy Monday!

  3. How fun that you went to a tree farm. I've never been to one. We've always had fake trees, but I'm seriously considering getting a real one next year! Glad you had a good weekend!

  6. I love your tree! I miss having a real one, but a fake one is where I'm at right now lol. It is just easier and I am super bad at remembering to water plants. Which is not a good thing. xo

  9. YAY for putting the tree up! I'm so jealous of real trees haha, I'm allergic to them so we'll forever have a fake on in our home. Yours looks so pretty though :)
