What A Makeup Junkie Packs Camping

We're going camping for the first time with our new camper this weekend! Which means I can't wait for this work shift to end! Those days always go the slowest.

As I was packing my bags, I thought it was funny the things I packed that were different for other trips, and how little I would live without using this weekend. And I thought what a great idea for a post! This, ladies, is what a makeup junkie packs (or doesn't pack) camping!

How to Pack Makeup for Camping

Camping and Beauty Products

If you read my blog a lot, you know I can't live without my dry shampoo. This weekend was certainly no exception. I still plan to wash my hair and shower, but this will make it last longer in the heat.

I also included my Nuetrogena face wash - you definitely can't go camping without that. This gentle formula works great to take all the oil from the day off of your face. I follow that up with a sample of the Pur-lisse face lotion with SPF. Perfect for being in the sun all day :)

My eczema tends to flare up when I am in buggy areas, or hiking with lots of plants. The Eucerin lotion is the only brand that really takes care of it and clears it up. If you have really dry skin, this is the stuff for you!

SPF and my eos lip balm are no brainers - again, great for really sunny days. I find that the mint eos is my absolute fav, but I also like this tangerine flavored one too.

My back up sunnies are in my bag, as well as head bands! We plan to go hiking and take the pups swimming, so these will be great for holding my hair back. I don't usually pack my super nice ones, in case they get dirty or lost, but these will do the trick!

I was surprised at how "umglamorously" I packed for the weekend - but it was so simple!

How do you pack for simple weekend getaways like camping? What are your essentials?

  4. This is all we really need, which is funny because of all the "extras" that are a normal part of our routine. Have a great time camping (and don't forget the deodorant lol!) :)

  6. I'm so glad you wrote this! I'm going REAL camping for the first time in a couple of weeks and I KNOW I'm not going to need to pack any makeup but other than that I have no idea! Do you think face cleansing wipes and moisturizer is enough or should I bring face wash too???

  9. Call me a princess but I'm not much of a camping girl, but I think a lot of this applies to any vacation/trip in the summer. I tend to go minimal and take a relaxing approach when I'm vacationing. Have a great weekend!
