I'll warn you ahead of time - these are addicting and so east to make! I found several versions of this recipe via pinterest, so I took the best of all of them! These cookies taste just like gooey butter cake; you won't be sorry if you try these!
You'll need:
- 1 box yellow cake mix (I used vanilla)
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 pkg cream cheese
- 1 egg
- powdered sugar
Mix everything but the cake mix into a bowl and beat until well combined.
Add in the cake mix. When the mix is combined, it will be very thick and sticky.
Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Remove dough, and using a large ice cream scoop, scoop out cookies onto a baking sheet - before you put them on the sheet, roll them in powdered sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes. (If you use smaller balls of dough, cook for a less amount of time.)
Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
Yes, you're seeing right - I ate the demo cookies :) And they were delicious! For as little time as this actually took, and was shocked at how well these turned out. Don't miss out by not trying! Let me know how yours taste too!
Love the last photo - and those cookies would last .023 seconds in my house haha!
