How was your weekend, loves?! I am assuming that most of us celebrated with friends or family - or both! I spent my time in St. Louis, and the weather was just so perfect! We really couldn't have asked for anything better, and the humidity waited to get terrible until the day we drove home. If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen bits of my weekend posted there!
The puppy cousins played all weekend long. Sadie and Ollie really play so well together - thank goodness! Every morning they woke up and started looking for the other one. On the trio down, Ollie rode in my lap practically the whole way. I think he's a little unaware of his size. Or either he doesn't care. Ollie was so wore out after the weekend, all he's done is sleep since we got back!
Friday night we went to see fireworks - you didn't think you'd get through a weekend recap for July 4th without firework photos, did you? - at the country club where my parents are members. We got to sit on the green of the golf course to watch, and the weather was just perfect!
One of the days, we went to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery tour. It was actually pretty cool; the short tour is free and it lasts about 40 minutes. I probably know more than i wanted to about beer, but it it was interesting and we did get to see the famous Clydesdales - which was probably my favorite part. And we couldn't have had better weather for it!
I don't think that I have ever actually ordered a banana split. But boy was it good!! It was just from Dairy Queen, so next time you're there, try it! It was the perfect snack for a warm day. And on another note, I love this maxi because it's so versatile!
My sister and her husband had one of these margaritas on their honeymoon and just raved about it! So i decided to do a little pinteresting (is that a word?) and found a great version that was great at home!
Extra note - you will need to add ice. We didn't add ice in ours, and it was a little strong. Plus, I think the consistency would have been better with the ice, not just over the rocks. But still totally worth it!
We went to church on Sunday morning before we left. They had a great message about the difference between Joy and Happiness. This was one of the passages he used. If you're interested in hearing it, let me know! I can sent you the direct link and you can see it and hear it for free!
I can't wait to hear about all of your weekends! What was your favorite part?!
