Yay for Monday, lovies! Well, maybe not for some people. But since it's my day off after the weekend, I was excited to see it arrive. This coming weekend we are headed to St. Louis with my sister and her (new!) husband, and my in laws to stay with my parents for the weekend. Oh, and the puppy cousins get to come too :) Speaking of puppy, this is totally on an unrelated note, but Ollie loves cardboard. He loves to chew it and drag it around. So I took this little pic over the weekend, and it still makes me laugh.
Anywayssss, I'm getting side tracked. I got to thinking about food we could make for this weekend, and went to the best place for that. Pinterest. What recipe don't they have? Here are all the things I think would be awesome for a 4th party. Well not all of them. I went on a pinning spree with this, so I chose a handful to share :)

How stinking cute is this table set up!? And it looks relatively simple to pull off. Whether you do this for adults or kids - or adults that are kids at heart - this will just simply put you in the mood for all the July festivities. I really love the hanging lanterns, and you could even use balloons if lanterns weren't available.

Okay, how awesome do these look? I think I would almost not want to eat them because they are so cute! And bite sized treats are the best!! These don't look too difficult to make either. I'm not a huge cherry fan myself, so I would probably trade the cherry for a strawberry if I was going to make these. YUM is all I can say!

These decorations are so perfect for July, and not just the 4th. You could leave these up all month long, and even into August. I just may have to attempt this with my 2 vases on my mantle. I am sure you could buy these beans in these colors - but they would be just as easy to spray paint too! Maybe a DIY coming in the future :)

July 4th wouldn't be the same without a fun little cocktail! Plus, I really just like this glass too. How cute is that straw and bow? Perfect for refills on a hot day, and for watching fireworks. I was unable to find a recipe for this drink, but I am pretty sure we can all substitute our favorite drink!

It's just not summer at all without strawberry angel food cake, or strawberry shortcake. Strawberries just scream summer, and would be perfect for a July picnic. This would be even better with a little homemade vanilla ice cream too.
All of these treats look so good, I'm not sure which is my favorite or which one to even begin to make!
What treats do you plan on making for July 4th?
