I love Universal Studios! If you read my blog regularly, you know that I have been several times. It's a great place for families and couples alike, and there is always something to do. I don't have a ton of pictures of ALL the rides, because lets face it this was like my 5th or 6th time going, and I don't need 7 pictures of each ride every time I go. But I will sahre with you some of the best ones :)
We hopped on the plane on Saturday, which thank goodness was a smooth, straight shot to Florida. We met my parents down there. The first two days, we didn't do a whole lot except lay by the pool. I usually need the first day or two to become a dayshift person again. Such is the life of working third shift. But my sister and I got in plenty of sun and naps during the day - and I am pretty sure I got addicted to morning mimosas. Oops.
Meanwhile, our puppy was busy tearing up his grandparents house :) Don't worry, he's still welcome back.
We went to our first day of Universal Studios - Yay! The Jaws ride isn't there anymore, but the photo op is. I think it's one of the more popular photo opportunities. And of course, I had a butter beer for breakfast. Do you remember these cupcakes I made a while back? It is EXACTLY what butter beer tastes like. You're welcome.
We went out that night to Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory (cue all the Forrest Gump movie quotes) because my hubs and my sister's fiancee had never been there. Their Sunset drink was ah-maz-ing!
You all know how I feel about Harry Potter World. SO FUN! And in April vs June it was so much less crowded, but either way its a great experience if you love the books or movies.
The newest addition to HP World wasn't open yet, but it pays to have a 6'4" husband who can take pictures above the construction fence :)
They have the front of King's Cross, and Grimmauld Place! You can see Sirus Black's house that appears out of the apartments in the movies (see the darker colored apartment in the pic). Not to mention the Knight Bus for a cool photo op.
There will be a Hogwarts ride of some sort that connects both parks of Universal Studios, with a different ride experience each way.
Obviously, I couldn't get my camera back to any other point. But if you click on this link below, it will let you see more pictures of Diagon Alley that is under construction. It includes Fred and George's shop, and Gringotts with the dragon on top too!
They are predicting the new ride to be open at the end of June. I told my hubs we'll just have to go back again soon! If you go, don't forget to grab a butter beer!
