Low Calorie Breakfast Smoothies!

Breakfast can be such a high calorie meal, especially if you eat carbs. Lately, my husband and I have been trying to eat more low calorie foods, and we use MyFitnessPal (a free app!) to count our calories with success in some weight loss.
These smoothies help me stay within my calorie goal, and the ingredients are normal ones - unlike some of those diet foods out there. If I can't find the item in the store pretty quickly (ex: flax seed) then I'm not using it. These smoothies aren't like that. Minimal and normal ingredients :)  Here are some of my usuals!
Low calorie banana, chocolate banana, blueberry vanilla smoothie
Banana Smoothie - 80 calories (And my favorite!)
1/2 Banana
1/2 C almond milk
6 ice cubes
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla

If you want a little more to this one, add 2 strawberries and a 1/4 C nonfat greek yogurt to make it a total of 120 calories!

Chocolate Banana Smoothie - 175 Calories
1 1/2 Bananas
1/3 C nonfat greek yogurt
1 tbsp unsweet coco powder
1/2 tsp honey
1/4 C almond milk
low calorie easy banana, banana chocolate, and blueberry vanilla smoothie
 Blueberry Vanilla - 160 Calories
1/2 C nonfat greek yogurt
1 C Blueberries
1/2 C almond milk
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp vanilla

For a low calorie dessert instead of cake or ice cream, try this frozen treat!
Frozen Pineapple Dessert - 270 Calories per serving
*Makes 2 servings
1 whole pineapple, cubed and frozen
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp honey

What do your low calorie treats or breakfast include?!

  5. yum! these sound delish. i am a sucker for smoothies. i have one almost every morning for breakfast, because im lazy and i know i wont get my recommended fruit intake if i dont. banana + cup o berries + almond milk + protein powder / flaxseed / chia seeds (i never add all 3 of the last, hubby does, but i dont like that much STUFF in my smoothies, you know? still want them to taste good). i ended up getting flaxseed + chia seeds off amazon because i couldnt find them anywhere haha.

  11. I've never thought to add brown sugar to my smoothies! Whenever I make green smoothies, I have to use vanilla almond milk or it's not sweet enough for me.

  19. I wish, wish, wish I could eat a smoothie for breakfast but I'm starving right after again ha. I try to add a hard-boiled egg with half of a bagel or English muffin and it holds me over till lunch. Smoothies are so good though and we usually skip lunch on the weekend and opt for one instead (add kale - you can't even taste it!).

  26. Idea for your simple smoothies:
    1. cup of almond milk
    2. a whole banana
    3. a few strawberries
    4. 1/2 cup of rolled oats (uncooked)

    blend = enjoy!

...Hope you'll stop by my blog ;) I am crazy with my smoothies... haha

  28. These sounds really good! I can't do those green monster smoothies or the ones with beets, etc. I prefer simple, fruit smoothies. I am going to have to try these! I generally do a banana, frozen mixed berries, greet yogurt and a bit of milk (I am allergic to nuts so I can't do almond milk). I will be trying these out soon!
