Gooey Butter Cake and Other Happenings

I'll give your Tuesday off to a great start with this Gooey Butter Cake recipe I made for my husband to take to work on his birthday! Yes, it does count as breakfast. You're welcome.
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9X13 baking pan.
Combine 2 cups flour, 2 tspn baking powder, 1/4 tspn salt in a bowl.
In a new bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 1 egg.
Mix the flour and the sugar mixture together and spread evenly into cake pan.
Beat 1 pkg cream cheese until smooth.
Add 2 eggs and 2 tspns of vanilla.
Add 16oz of confectioners sugar to the mix.
Pour over top of dough in the pan, and bake for 40-45 min.
After baking, sprinkle confectioners sugar on top.
I attempted to do an at home gel french manicure on Sunday (if you follow me on Instagram you saw this already). And I would say it turned out pretty good for a first attempt!
Even though one of my college girlfriends have moved on (in this case, to Florida), we are still fashion buddies. She texted me this days before the shower while she was still in Florida. She always has been my go to girl for what to wear! Is this just us?!
The weather was so awesome over the weekend, it could not have been better. I got to bust out my "minni mouse" sandals that mu hubby got me last fall and finally wear them. Not super fashionable, but for some reason I just find the polka dots and bows adorable! Clearance at Sears, for once you had some thing cute. We found these while tv shopping.
I ate the last piece of shower cake. And it was delicious. I don't even want to know how many calories I consumed in 2 days. Let's pretend it didn't happen, shall we?
Tune in tomorrow for a OOTD with my "sunshine jeans"!
