Hello girlies! And hello Monday. If you are a regular reader of my blog, I am sure you may notice some changes to the blog today! (Not to mention the heads up I gave on Friday!)
I have been ready for a blog update for a while, including a new layout. I wanted something a lot simpler looking than what I had, and I found it!
And A Girl and Her Sparkles is no more. While that name served a great purpose to get me started in the blogging world, I felt that it was time to move on. With my blog getting bigger (don't get me wrong, my blog is so tiny compared to all the awesomeness out there), I knew now was the time to change it. I happened across the saying "made in the shade" about a week ago and it just stuck in my mind. I feel like it works for my blog on so many levels! When I first started blogging, I thought up a name pretty quickly because I never thought I would stick with blogging very long. But it has become a great little hobby for me! Also, leaving room for the possibility of an Etsy shop in the future, I wanted a name that was easy to remember and a little more sophisticated. Not to mention, a .com address. And here we are!
I still have a Pinterest account, the name has just been changed to the new one. And you can still find me on google +.
I also created an Instagram! You can follow me there to see post updates, and other extras that don't always make it to my blog.

Onto my how my weekend was! It went by way too quickly as usual. Ollie was invited to his cousin, Sadie's, birthday party! (We're nerds, I know.) Sadie turned 1 on April Fools Day.
They obviously are so thrilled about their party hats, but look how cute they are! Ollie and Sadie will do just about anything for a treat. Ollie had peanut butter cake at his first birthday and he loved it so much that we went back to Three Dogs Bakery to get Sadie's there too. If you have one near you, I highly recommend it! The cake look so good that I almost tasted it. Almost.
Sunday we had to go suit shopping for my husband - Men's Warehouse overwhelms me. Too many options and too many kids shopping for prom season. But their nice jeans were on sale for buy one get one free so I talked him into some "fashion" jeans, whatever that really means. But no more Old Navy jeans for him, Yay! I made him take me through Starbucks first, and got one of their refreshers. They are such a great low calorie option!
AND - our waffle maker from Crate and Barrel came! Don't you just love the looks of that box?! We have yet to try it out, but I have a feeling that will be happening this week :) I spent the rest of the weekend prepping for my sister's bridal shower, which in 6 days! SIX DAYS PEOPLE! Of course, I had a little help :)
How did you spend your weekend??
