Happy Tuesday lovelies!! Today, I am linking up with Ashley at Life on the Parson's Farm for their Monday Meals Mashup. I'm a day late, I know. Check out her blog, it's the cutest!
I don't know about any of you, but with warmer weather clearly on the way, and my vacation coming up in a little over 3 weeks, I have been trying to eat so healthy. But no matter how healthy you eat, you still get that craving for something sweet, am I right?! So I have been searching on pinterest for healthy dessert recipes. We tried our first one tonight! 100 Calorie cheesecake!
The recipe is so easy, and tastes better than I was expecting it to. Now, I will warn you, it's not anything like the Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. It is low calorie. But its great for that little craving you get after dinner or lunch for dessert!
- 4 tablespoons fat free sugar free cheesecake jello mix
- 2 cups Chobani Vanilla greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup fat free milk
-1 graham cracker (optional)
This recipe yeilds 4 servings, 100 calories each. To make only 2 servings, cut everything in half.
Mix together yogurt, jello mix, and milk. I mixed mine in my mixer to get a smooth consistency. Sometimes I have a hard time getting down the greek yogurt because of how think it is, so I wanted to make sure there weren't any lumps. If you want a little extra flavor, take one graham cracker and divide it into fourths along the lines. Crumble it up and put it on the bottom of each cup, then pour in the cheesecake by separating it into 4 separate dishes. Then, I let mine chill in the refrigerator for an hour. You could skip this step if you wanted, but I always think the graham crackers are better after you let it sit.
Viola! You have low calories cheesecake! In hindsight, I think you could use any flavor of the yogurt if you wanted to have a different flavor. I feel like strawberry would be really great! Or chocolate, but I have no idea if Chobani makes chocolate yogurt. This is such an easy dessert to whip up, and even my husband liked it!
What are your low calorie desserts?
