Kind of hard to believe it's already Tuesday! My parents came to visit over the weekend so that kept us busy up until Saturday night! We went to a comedy club, and to eat a one of the better bars in Indy on Friday. Saturday, we shopped a bit for outfits for my sisters upcoming shower, let our puppies play, and watched Catching Fire. The puppies were so tired by the late afternoon that they were playing tug of war laying down, bless their furry little hearts!
They look so much alike now, it's hard to tell them apart when they are a moving blur. Saturday night was supposed to end with a good nights sleep, but ended up with my husband and I in the emergency room (aka my husbands place of work, ironically). One of the puppies clawed a pretty deep scratch in his eye lid - and let me tell you, even for a nurse it was gross. Granted, eye injuries are my one weak area, but still. I'll spare you the gory picture I took. No worries, no stitches were needed. Just some time for it to heal and it will be good as new!
Monday night was date night with the hubs! It was a little colder than expected and we weren't going anywhere fancy so I dressed warm and comfy!
Have you seen enough of this leopard scarf yet?! We went to Target, where I finally found a maxi skirt like one I have been wanting, and picked up a new Pixi product (I'll share that after I've used it a few times). If you are loving the long layering tanks I have been rocking lately, you can get them at Windsor in black, tan, or white. I love wearing them under my t-shirts with leggings!
Then we went to Bath and Body works because I had a gift card, and walked out with way more than we planned on. My hubs picked out a few candles, and I got these!
Their new Hawaii scents are so good! It makes me feel like I am on vacation! I highly recommend these :) They also have a new sunless tanner out that I didn't get, but I am dying to try in the future! I highly recommend their Lanakai Coconut candle - amazing!!
We had to stop at Lowe's for fertilizer and a grill rotisserie - guess whose picks those were.
And Ryan made me take my care through the car wash - I am terrible about that. But I love those long sting things, and then the pink and yellow soap in the pics above. For as much as I love the car wash you would think I would take Sophia (my car) through it more often?!
Then we went home, made some snacks and wine, and fell asleep talking just like we did when we were dating. Such an awesome date night if I do say so myself!
I hope you all had as great a Monday as I did!
That date night sounds glorious! I love tropical/fresh scents. I just got a lemon sugar coconut lotion from Victoria's Secret.
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds like it smells so good! I will have to check that out!

Such a great movie - I can't wait until November for the next one!
DeleteSounds like you had a great date night! Some of the best nights are doing nothing really special. Glad your husband's eye is OK. I am constantly being mauled by our crazy dogs (not from them being vicious, mostly just overexcitement and insanity!) But it is generally my legs that get the beating.

Yes, those tend to be the best date nights! Dogs are so crazy when they get that excited!
DeleteI love that you named your car - too cute!! So glad your husband is okay!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I have always named my cars, my last one was Elenor but she sadly got old, haha.
DeleteI love being IN the car wash, but I don't like actually going to the car wash, either. And my car's name is Jack! Sounds like a fun, casual date!
ReplyDeleteHaha so funny I am the same way! Glad I am not the only one who named my car!
