Another Weekend Gone

There's good news and bad news. We had another snow storm - they were predicting 6 to 10 inches. I am so so sick of all that white stuff. The good news is that we didn't actually get near that much so far. There's still a chance we could get some more, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Besides the snow, we had a pretty great weekend, and don't have to go back to work until Tuesday night!
Spring training has started, people! I was more than ready for baseball to make a comeback, my husband had me footballed out. We definitely don't have the same tastes when it comes to sports, so we basically take turns napping all year. I nap during all the football he watches and he naps during all the baseball I watch. It's an arrangement that works out pretty well, actually. Let's go Cards!
We had friends over on Saturday night, and played Catan. These particular friends introduced us to this game a few years ago, and we love to play now! It's definitely a thinking game, but so much fun! I had yet to win a game until last night! I was so excited. If you are familiar with this game, my pieces are blue :)
I purchased some yards of elastic to make my own hair bands - we'll see how this goes, how hard can it be?! They were super cheap at Jane.com. I think it was only $3 for all of this! And what super fun colors!
This weekend was also "work on my sister's shower" weekend. I got a lot of things done for that which is coming up in about a month! Eeeek! Anyways, I asked my husband to get me something that I could paint on. And he brought out Ollie's blanket from when he was just a 6 week old pup. Um, hello?!?! Am I the only one who thinks that that is not a paint drop cloth?! So, I salvaged it and made him get me something else. And Ollie quickly found a napping spot underneath.
In case you missed my guest post that was put up on Friday at mycherrytoppedlife.com, it was an OOTD on the only nice day we had last week! It only reached 50 degrees, but I am already wishing that we had that weather back. Here's to hoping that March brings some warm weather with it!
Happy Monday girlies!

  1. I thought about doing that as well buying the bands to make those hair bands....they are so expensive otherwise! I'll be keeping an eye out for your DIY on them ;-)

  14. The weekends literally go way too fast. It's obnoxious! Our weather in NC is wonky right now. It was 70 degrees yesterday and now it's sleeting/snowing. Your outfit is precious! Let's chat about doing a guest post sometime! :)

  15. Sounds like a great weekend! I am glad we didn't end up with the 6-10 inches either, although I ended up having to miss work today anyway! Our roads were horrible! :( I've never heard of Catan though, I'll have to go research it! :)
