What's in my work bag?

I'll start with this as a summary of my feelings today.
I mean, come on. How much more snow does the midwest have to get?! We got another foot of snow last night, and they are calling for another foot on top of that this weekend. I am so over it. My husband got just what he wanted, because he wanted a reason to use his snow blower. I, on the other hand, was hoping to style my maxi dresses for the winter. Yeah, that isn't happening with a foot of snow outside. So there went that outfit post, flying right out the window.
Update on the Mini Cheesecake post that I did. (Click on cheesecake to take you to the recipe). I made these again for our little super bowl party. Except this time, I used oreos for the crust. Ah-mah-zing. And even better after they were leftover. They were a huge hit and we only had 4 left over. I think this will become a new favorite in our house.
So since the weather prevented me from doing any errand running/wedding shower planning/bargain shopping, I decided to do a "what's in my bag" post. In case you were wondering, I got my bag from American Eagle on Black Friday for super cheap. I feel a little weird shopping at AE at my age, but I still love their jeans and their accessories.
I always take my Nook. It's one of the best Christmas presents that I have ever gotten. Sometimes, you have a slow night at the hospital, and you can catch up on a good book. The case is from Vera Bradley.
My planner. I am actually on the hunt for a new one, as this one is pretty beat up. But I love the chevron gold print. It's from Target.
Lotion, comb, and chap stick. Self explanatory, is it not?
Stethoscope. Can't go to work without that one.
The 5th book in the Outlander series. I highly recommend these books. Love them. This is my third time through, because it's becoming a TV show on Starz this summer.
The double mint tin is where I keep all my pins. I used it on a whim, but you wouldn't believe how many people have asked me where they can buy one too. Pretty handy.
My super cute keys. The mint and yellow key ring is from Etsy, and was one of my wedding gifts to my bridesmaids. And my sis got me the cheetah print chapstick holder
Iphone charger is self explanatory too.
My Vera Bradley wallet. These wallets are just organized so great, and fully machine washable. Not designer, but really functional.
What's the best thing in your bag?

PS - Linking up my recipe with these lovely ladies! Head on over to check it out!

  1. I always keep my stethoscope in my bag.....I took it out one time when I was digging through my bag at the store and some guy asked me if I "wanted to play Doctor" I almost threw up in my mouth....so annoying! I love the sparkle outside layer on your bag so pretty!

    1. Rain is almost worse than snow - you don't get as wet and wilted with just snow. Eek!

  19. Ooh I love posts like these! I REALLLY like your planner - the gold chevron stripes are so cute! If you're in the market for a new one, I recommend Moleskines. Highly functional and very classic. They don't look as cute as the one you currently have but they are what you make it and I find them perfect for my needs!
