What my Valentine's Day will look like

Tomorrow is Vday! As if you didn't know, it's been all over everyone's blog. I've seen posts about staying in, about going on a dinner date, movie date, etc. So I thought I would tell you what my Vday was going to look like. Work. Whomp whomp. My husband and I both work the night of Valentine's. Boo. Don't get me wrong, I think we are going to go out to eat sometime next week. Buttt kinda stinks that we can't celebrate together on our first married Vday. So, I plan to celebrate tomorrow at work.
Who doesn't want to have pink nails for this holiday? And OPI just happens to be my favorite when I'm not using the gel kind. I also plan to take my fancy coffee cup. If you haven't tried the Bailey's coffee creamer, you are missing out. The kind in the picture is cream brulee. I thought the fancy cup set the mood for Vday :)
I'm not a big fan of just plain old chocolate. So that's right. I am taking Thin Mints. Who doesn't love Thin Mints?! These are the perfect snack for spending Vday at work. And of course my pink pens. If you know a nurse, you know they love their pens. Pink is just my favorite, and also fitting for tomorrow.
Now, at the risk of being mushy I thought I would reminisce a bit - keep scrolling if Vday sentimental things make you cringe.
Since I can't celebrate with my hubs, I decided to look back a few pictures.
This was our proposal. He had my sister hiding to take pictures, and I am so glad he did so that we have something to look back at on days like these! He's just the sweetest!
We're not quite at our 1 year anniversary yet - but I always always always enjoy looking back at our engagement and wedding photos. Don't worry I'm not going to bombard you, I only picked 3 :)

The top two pictures are from Sunlit Images, just like the ones on my wedding tab, and the last one is just an iphone pic that my cousin happened to snap. Happy first Vday to us!

  6. Thin Mints are the best Valentine's Day present a girl can have! :) That sucks you guys don't get to celebrate your first Valentine's Day together but just think, going out on a different day means better service and less crowded! :)

  9. Ahh totally working on Valentine's day too (or so I thought - we just had a massive snowstorm so I may be getting snowed in after all).
That said, I LOVE that mug - is that from the Starbucks and Alice and Olivia collaboration? So cute!
And awww, the engagement and wedding photos are the cutest!

  10. Those pictures are all so precious! I always love when I see people's proposal pictures that are actual pictures and not re-enactments! We're not doing anything too exciting for our first married Valentines Day either.

  14. Such sweet pictures! My husband and I never do anything for Valentine's, even when we were first dating. I don't know that he knows tomorrow is Valentine's day... At least you are both working and are celebrating later!

  22. I love those OPI colors - pink is always a good nail polish choice. Sometimes I love those nights where my husband works late or has meetings because it means I have a date with my couch, eating sushi, giving myself and mani/pedi while watching my DVR of Real Housewives.. hope your V-Day date with yourself was at least relaxing and enjoyable!
