Shower Invites and Purple Cows

It's getting closer and closer to bridal shower time! I just finished the invitations for my sister's shower and sent them out. Normally, I make this kind of stuff on my own, but we have been so busy making and designing the wedding invitations (post coming soon), that I had a little help for this one. Melissa at MOPhotography designed this invite for me! She worked so well with me to custom create the colors that my sister chose for her wedding. She was so quick too! I am so pleased with the way they turned out. The peach is a little hard to see, but it turned out so great printed out!
I purchased envelopes from Hobby Lobby (as usual). I wanted to put something over the envelope closure to jazz up the outside so that it wasn't so plain. I looked for some stickers but none really suited my taste and what I wanted. So I decided to make my own. I cut out circles in the same emerald paper to use.
I used my circle cutter, which you can purchase at Hobby Lobby I then used mounting squares to attach. I wanted them to be easy to remove when opened. I just used a marker to write on them "She Said Yes!".
On a random note, we had to go to Meijer to get groceries. I found this amazing smelling candle. There isn't anything special about it, it's just a random off brand candle. But it smells so so good! My husband laughed because I told him that it smells like vacation. It is currently burning as I type, and I am day dreaming that I am on the beach.
And now onto this purple cow. Do any of you remember having this when you were little in school? I do. And every once in a while I bust out this super easy recipe and make it.
The recipe is super easy, but it makes a ton. So I cut it down to one serving size. You will need:
3/4 cup of milk
6 medium sized scoops of vanilla icecream
3 oz of frozen grape juice concentrate (I had a 12 oz can so I used 1/4)
Blend all of these up in the blender together. Add more of one ingredient or another to taste if needed. And then enjoy :)
Please tell me I am not the only one who eats these?! Happy Tuesday!

  3. STOP. I was afraid I was the only one who had purple cows as a child! Ours were a little different- basically just a root beer float but with grape soda, but the name alone makes me smile :) Those bridal shower invites are so cute!
