Guest Posting and a Blog Feature!

Today, I am able to say I am doing my first guest post over at My Life with a Cherry on Top. Elyse is so sweet for giving me this opportunity! We met through Bigs and Littles, a little thing set up by some awesome bloggers, where a big blog is paired with a little and you can learn a ton of things from each other. Not to mention make another blog friend - who doesn't love that?!
Her little piece of the internet is so cute and awesome, you should head on over and check out her most recent post! I am posting about my OOTD on her space!
When she asked me to guest post, we both thought it would be an awesome idea to just trade spaces for a day! I am almost thinking about making this a sort of regular thing with all my blog friends out there! I am sure you will love her post today!

Hello dear bloggy friends!  My name is Elyse and I blog at My Life with a Cherry on Top.  I am a part-time salon receptionist, full-time Elementary Art teacher.  I am a stalker reader of Becky's blog, and she was nice enough to let me take over for a bit today!

My Life with a Cherry On Top

Today I will share with you a few things you need to know about living in Southern Indiana (in case you are ever lucky enough to be a part of that scenario), and we both live in Indiana, so it seemed appropriate!

First thing's first...You have to like corn on the cob.
Because you will be surrounded by the stuff.
You have to like the REAL Indiana team, not those other guys.

In liking IU, you will also need to enjoy basketball.  The Hoosier's sport.
Avoid saying "Y'all".  You might be in Southern Indiana, but you're not in the real South.  Although, a "Y'all" may slip out here and there.  After all, Indiana is Kentucky's hat.

You may find yourself ending your sentence's with prepositions.
"Where's my phone at?"
"If you go to the mall, can I go with?"

You will learn the meaning of "catty-wumpus".
You have to be prepared for all types of weather.
One day it could be 70 degrees.  The next day it could look like this.
A good rule of thumb is to wear lots of layers!  You never know how the weather will be!

So that, in a nutshell, is how to survive if you ever come to Southern Indiana!
