Birchbox point purchase

The one good thing about canceling birchbox was that I got to spend all my points on something before I closed it out. I decided to go with Benefit's Fake Up - an under eye concealer. The reviews were great, and I know that Benefit is a great brand. My Elf under eye concealer was almost out, so I thought I would try something new. The Elf concealer actually does a great job for a cheap price, and I have used it for a while now. But the thing I hate about it is that the tube it comes in leaks. Every single tube that I have owned of it leaks and makes a small mess each time I use it. So I thought I would try something new.

This is supposed to hydrate and cover all at the same time, hence the double layer in the roll up stick. It was a little difficult to choose the color I needed online, but I think I got the shade right. I didn't use the lightest shade, but the next one up. It goes on really easy, and then I blend it in with my finger. I do really like it so far. On a particularly long day this weekend I had to reapply it once, but other than that I am happy with the product. For someone who works night shift and is tired often from switching back and forth from nights to days, this does the trick of covering up my under eye circles. And I love the roll up tube it comes in!
I also repurchased my Neutrogena powder. This kind works great for me because of the blended shades, and this brand has always been great at preventing break outs for me. I also decided to try out Elf's bronzer. The price can't be beat, and my sister uses it with lots of luck. I will let you know how it works!
I have been wanting to try this kind of lotion for a while now, and saw good reviews on other blogs about it. So I decided to try it. I need to put lotion on every day because of my super dry eczema, but I hate doing it because of how long it takes. So I was hoping this would speed up the process. The smell is soooo good. I love that you can spray it on, it dries much faster, so I don't have to wait forever. It can be a bit cold when you spray it on, but it's worth it.
I saw this on my facebook and thought it was so funny because it is so true of our puppy. Especially when I have my electric blanket turned on.
What are your favorite makeup finds this week?

  7. I struggle with finding powder to match my skin so I usually stick to translucent, but I might look into that neutrogena line since it does have a mixture of shades! The fake up looks sooo moisturizing, I'm wondering if it would work well on blemishes?

    1. You do have to rub it in a little bit, but it soaks in much faster and you don't have to rub it in near as much!

  17. With the Neutrogena powder, do you blend all the colours together on your brush and then apply it to your face or do you just use one shade at a time?

  18. So sad you cancelled your Birchbox subscription, I loved seeing what you got each month and comparing it to mine. I am going to use the subscription for one year and then decide if I want to cancel it completely or not. I did get an ipsy subscription as an anniversary gift from Josh this month SO I will let you know if it is any better than Birchbox since I know you didn't really love it!
