I missed 5 on Friday this week. Oops. So now, its 5 on Saturday :) I hope you all have great plans for the weekend! Friday mine consisted of errand running, catching up on sleep, and cuddling with the pup. I feel so bad for Ollie, it has been so cold that we haven't even been walking him regularly. I think he's going a little stir crazy!
On to the 5!
1- I surpassed 100 posts! Kinda hard to believe that I have even found that much to post about, but it came so quickly. As long as I enjoy blogging, I'll keep doing it. It has become a great little hobby to fill some of my free time!
2- Do you SEE the "feels like" temp?! It should be illegal to be this cold. That's right, Indiana is in the middle of another polar vortex. But I am perplexed as to why it is really called that. But really, -19 degrees? I need a heated coat for weather that cold. I look like an eskimo leaving the hospital in the mornings after my shift. My husband laughs at me, but I have my leather drivers seat wrapped in a blanket so my butt isn't so cold. Brrrrr.
3- Do any of you frequent the store Archivers? Or maybe it's just an Indiana thing. But I was so sad to hear that they are going out of business as of February 15th. The good part about it is that all their stuff is 40% off. So of course I took advantage. My sis has requested that for their wedding gift I make them a scrapbook, so I picked up some stuff I knew I would need later for that! If you have on in your area, I suggest you head there now. I couldn't believe how much good stuff they still have left! I may go back next week - shhhhh!
4- My husband knows me well. He bought me Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle ice cream bars. Um, YUM!! If you haven't tried Skinny Cow yet, you should. Its low calorie ice cream, and tastes amazing! I also highly recommend the chocolate covered raspberry bars as well :) For some reason, I crave ice cream even more in the winter than the summer. So we make regular ice cream runs in the above -19 degree weather. I think we're the people that keep the Dairy Queen in business all year round.
5- I was so excited about this as part of one of our New Year's goals. I think some of you may have seen this on pinterest, but we dedicated a jar (a mason jar of course) to putting some of our favorite good time memories on a scrap of paper. We put the papers in the jar, and this year on December 31st, we open the jar and read all the good things that happened in the year and all that we have to be thankful for. I am so excited about this - I think it will help us realize all the great things that happen and how great we are blessed by God. In the busy lives that we lead, we forget so often about the little awesome things that happen. Every time I look at it already, I remember that great things happened every day. It's not too late for you all to start this too! It's still January :)
Happy Saturday ladies!
