Giant Cookies, Big News and Key West Vacation!

As you are reading this, I am on the plane heading home. Back to the cold variable weather of Indiana. BOO!! I am however, ready to get a big kiss from my sweet puppy dog. Thank you all for your encouragement for the airplane rides, the trip there was thankfully uneventful. Two days before we left, I had a get together with all my girlies! It was the best, and so much fun! And yes, that is a giant cookie. In a bar. He had to be so freaking hot. I don't know how he stood it. The bar had terrible lighting, so excuse the crappy pics.
And now for the big news!! The night before we left for vacation - my sister and I called it our Birthday Extravaganza - we opened our birthday presents. Our birthday isn't actually until next Saturday, but it was the only day we would all be together. And who am I kidding. We never wait til our actual birthday to open gifts. It infuriates my husband. We are too excited to ever wait. We always let each other open a Christmas present early too. One year, we had gotten each other the exact same gift. No joke. Anyways, I digress. My sister's boyfriend proposed!!! I am so excited to wedding plan again!
Aren't they cute? I am jealous of her long hair.
So we had a girls night, opened gifts, he proposed, and then we left for our birthday trip - excuse me, Birthday Extravaganza. I don't want to bore you with a ton of photos from Key West, but here are some of my favs from the trip this week!
This is my hubby. He started no shave November about a month early. He looks like Paul Bunyan. To his credit, the beard is a lot softer than I thought it would be.
The beach view from some of our chairs is above, and the sunset jet ski tour we took around the island of Key West is below. Let me tell you, that Atlantic ocean water was CHOPPY! If my husband's crazy driving wasn't making me so nervous (it's his goal in life to scare the crap out of me I think), I would have been sea sick. But the views were worth it! It was so cool to actually experience the sunset in the middle of the ocean!
Lastly, Ryan's parents babysat our sweet lab while we were away. Yes, I call them Ollie's grandparents. She even dressed my fur baby up as a surgeon for halloween, and he played with their two new beagle pups.
I will let you in on some more trip details later - I'll leave you with these for now. Have any of you been to Key West, and where did you go?

    1. I've been three times and love it! We have stayed in both Hyatts, which are really nice. There are a ton of beautiful bed and breakfasts though, that I would recommend staying at!

p.s. My boyfriend thinks he is Paul Bunyan. He claims it's for Movember, but we both know it's just because he's really lazy lol
