Christmas Decor!

Hello ladies! Thank you so much to all of you who participated in my link up yesterday! In my book, it was a success! I was just hoping for 5 to sign up! The link up is still going on, you can link up here. All you need to do is post a link from you favorite post last week, and then next Tuesday I will pick a few bloggers to be featured on my blog! Now, onto regularly scheduled programming....
I hope you are all gearing up for Thanksgiving like I am! I actually work the night of Thanksgiving, so we are celebrating Friday. So I used Tuesday to throw up some more decorations! I'm not done yet, because there are just some things that you need a hubby's hands for. And the hubs was working. Boo. But here's what our home looks like so far!
This part of our entertainment center is my fav! I love the picture, and the gold star! And who doesn't like a yankee candle that smells like a Christmas tree?! I am going for a red and gold theme this year!
(gold star : Hobby Lobby, snow shoes: Meijer, frame: Hobby Lobby, print: Lily & Val, cupcake stand: Martha Stewart)
We used these tall vases at our wedding and I wanted to reuse them for Christmas! I found these ornaments at The Christmas Tree Store. They were so cheap and are supposedly shatter proof. I was able to fill both vases for a total of $30. I love Hobby Lobby's ornaments, but when you need this many in bulk, their price is a little too steep! If you don't have a Christmas Tree Shop in your area, you can also try an Old Time Pottery.
These are my second fav! These little jingle bells were actually tags for gifts - but they were only 3 for $1, so I snatched them up. Remember these vases from my Halloween decorations? I love finding ways to reuse decorations and holders, and this was perfect for that. Not only is it easier, but its thrifty and also takes up less space in your decoration storage.

And how about this DIY this I posted? As much as I love these yellow flowers, they can't stay in the frames all year long. They just look too summery. So I replaced them with some Christmas sprigs! Glitter was everywhere, but it looks more festive now! I can't wait to shop for some spring colored flowers to put in there! Instead of stones in the bottom, I used fake glittery snow that I also use on my Christmas village.
(decorative sprigs: Old Time Pottery)
There is still more to come - I need help for the garland, and I have to find a place for my Christmas village! Is anyone else as obsessed with those little villages as me? They are so fun! And we are getting our tree next week! Yay!

What are your favorite decorations for Christmas? Have you started putting them up yet?
Happy Wednesday!

    1. It took forever but we finally found them on a website from somewhere in California. They also have vases about half this size at Micheal's (the craft store)!

  10. I love the idea of taking glass vases or jars and filling them up with ornaments, such a festive way to decorate the tables or mantles.
