What's in my brush bag?

This is my brush bag. More like a brush roll. I asked for this last year for Christmas from Pottery Barn, and I love it. It holds almost everything that I need to get ready in the morning, minus my foundation, powder, and blush. It may look little, but this makeup roll holds a lot and its great for traveling!
These brushes are ones that I use every day. Most of them are the Sonia Kashuk brand from Target. They are great brushes without being too over priced. I find that I am always going back to this brand.
1. This is my blush brush. I love that it is large enough to cover the apple of my cheek, but    not so huge that blush gets all over my face.
2. Not sure where I got this brush - I have had it for a while. I don't use the blush end. I use the smaller black end. I use this for putting on my powder in smaller places, like under my eyes or blending at my hair line.
3. This is my powder brush. The bristles are a little shorter than the blush brush, which makes it a bit sturdier and great for putting on powder. ($17)
4. I love my foundation brush. I will never go back to applying foundation a different way. This gives such even coverage and it is easy to use. ($14)

Sonia Kashuk Brush Review
1. My eyeshadow brush; it is more of a "flat" brush if that makes sense and is great for applying eyeshadow. ($12)
2. This crease brush works so well. I just recently purchased it, and I have no idea while I waited so long to buy it. It works great, if you don't have one already (maybe I'm the only one behind the times) get one! ($12)
3. I use this brush for "smudging" my eyeliner, and applying lighter shades to the inner corner of my eyes to make my eyes look bigger. ($9)
4. Again, no idea where I got this brush. I only use the small end, to sometimes apply high def powder, and to blend my eye shadow edges.
What Should be in your Makeup Bag
These are the items I keep in the zip pocket of the makeup roll. It holds surprisingly a lot!
1. My tweezers for touch-ups on the go, from Target.
2. Buxom mascara from Sephora. I started using this brand in college and I haven't looked back. Its a little pricey at $20, but I love it so much that I don't care to pay extra.
3. My eyeliner from covergirl in "coal". I really like a grey-black color over just black. I feel like it goes with my pale skin better than a harsh black.
4. My elf under eye concealer and under eye highlighter. It works great for $3, and you can see my review here.
5. I got my eyelash curler from Target. It was relatively cheap and it works great.
6. Elf matte lip color. Again at just $3 this was a steal. I really like the matte finish, and the nude shade is lovely. This shade is Nearly Nude.
7. I use elf eye primer. It was also only $3, and it works okay. I like it, but when it is out I will probably try a different brand.
8. Dr. Lipp lip balm. I received this in my last birchbox and I liked it so much that I purchased the full size. My previous review is here.

How do you store your makeup brushes and eye products while on the go?

  17. Oh jeez, I have so much stuff, it's all over the place haha. I have a brush roll-up for when I take ALL my brushes with me to work, but when I'm just traveling on my own, I usually just toss them in my makeup bag. And I ALWAYS bring tweezers with me on vacation or trips - I'm eyebrow obsessed!
