Pinterest Fall Inspiration

Is it just me, or has anyone else ever been in a store and they just don't have your size? And so, to console myself, I convince myself that item I had picked out is not even that cute. I saw this on my pinterest searching and laughed at how true this was!

To curb my appetite to shop, I looked at pinterest to get ideas how to pair my current summer clothing with fall clothing.

I have several maxi skirts that I normally wear with a tank or a t-shirt. But now that the weather is cooler, I think these are great options! Maxi skirts could be paired with a chambray top or even a cute cardigan. This could even work for a maxi dress! I am so excited to try this new look now! I love that a maxi skirt could be dressed up or down with either option. It makes those summer skirts so much more versatile! I also love the accessories in these pictures - the belt adds a cute look to the skirt! This could add a bit of a different look to a summer maxi skirt as well!
This look is great for a girls night out - something that I have planned in a few weeks. I plan to pair a cute skirt with a top that I normally wear, but pair it with a leather jacket I bought last fall. I feel like it gives this normally summer look a fall feel, without being all bundled up! The green clutch is a great addition too! I am just craving a cobalt blue hand bag or clutch. It's so fun dressing up for girls nights!

I have been wanting an adult version of a tutu skirt for a longgg time. I have found that it is super hard to find one that does look "adult". These pictures are absolutely perfect! You can bet that when I do run across one, I will snatch it up. I love how the top one is paired with a chambray jacket, but I love the classic look that the other picture shows. I have a DIY bookmarked on pinterest to make my own Sara Jessica Parker-esque tutu, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. It may just be my project for next week! I'm not a seamstress, so we'll see!
Lastly, I am dreaming of pink Hunter boots. I believe I am going to add these to my Christmas list this year. They would be so cute to wear on a rainy or snowy days, and it seems many blogs that I read just rave about them. Pink is my favorite color, so it would be an easy color choice! My boot socks would be just darling with these!

What are your pinspirations?

  1. Love the maxi dress pins. I'm all for tutus too but it is hard to find one that doesn't look ridiculous/too poofy!

    1. I totally agree! If it's poofy, it just looks childish.

    1. Well that stinks! I have to opposite problem - sometimes I'm too tall for the maxi dresses. They end up hitting at a wierd spot on my leg. I'm glad we're in agreement about the boots!

  12. I love wearing my maxis in the fall. I live in Mississippi so it doesn't get super cold here, so I am constantly taking my summer clothes and mixing them up for fall. And I love tulle skirts! I got a black one from Anthropologie last year and I can't wait to wear it again! Love the pink Hunters! I have red ones and I love them!

  20. I have a pair of dark green Hunter wellies and I wear them RELIGIOUSLY. Seriously, every day. If I'm not wearing them (super rare) I have them with me (in the car, for example) in case of an emergency. I love them to death! And I'm a super short & petite, so I had to get the kids wellies! Size 4 will fit and women's 5 & 6!
