My Favorite Things

Last week was such a busy week! I worked all three of my shifts in a row - which I hate doing. So I was exhausted. And cranky. And I'm doing the same this week. But there is light at the end of the tunnel...after those three shifts is a week and a half of vacation! Woo! I thought I would start off the week with some great things that did happen last week!
First, my twinnie is THE best at finding desserts from pinterest that don't turn into pinterest fails. We end up making these desserts again and again. Tonight's was apple pie cobbler (we added the ice cream). It was a great end to a Saturday night.
Second, I love "I Love Lucy". My husband always says he married an eighty year old based on some of the television I watch. But did you know that Monday October 14th was the 62nd anniversary of "I Love Lucy"? If you're wondering, yes, I did watch a few episodes that day.
Third, I am in love with our flannel sheets. Not only are they owls, but I have slept so great since we put them on our bed. I've been waiting to use them since April when my mother in law got them for me. These were highly anticipated, let me tell you. I am urging you all to go get some flannel sheets from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
Lastly, I got nominated for the Liebster Award! You should visit Lauren's blog - she's great!

Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you - Lauren from A Touch of Southern Grace
2. Answer the 11 questions given by the blogger who nominated you.
3. Nominate 11 bloggers and give them questions to answer.

Lauren's questions for me:
1. What inspired you to first start blogging?
I really just wanted to share my thoughts, beauty reviews, and DIY's with other people.
2. What is your favorite children's book?
I would probably say Nancy Drew. I loved those books.
3. What are some of your hobbies?
I love spending time with my family, my husband and dog, shopping, and reading.
4. What are three random facts about yourself?
I am a registered nurse, I have lived in 3 different states, and my husband and I got
married 3 years to the day of our first date.
5. What is your favorite blog post you have written so far?
Probably this one. I posted a DIY about how to re-purpose a farm house window!
6. What are your top 3 favorite stores?
I love shopping at Forever 21, Dottie Couture Boutique, and Sephora.
7. What is your favorite monogrammed item?
I don't have a certain brand favorite, but I love my monogrammed phone case from Etsy!
8. How would you describe your style?
I'm not sure I know how to describe this - but I love to dress up, and I love to wear heels!
I'm also obsessed with pink and bows.
9. What is your favorite color?
    Pink!
10. Who are your favorite bloggers?
All the blogs I follow are my favorites, but the first one I started following is The Small
    Things Blog. She's awesome!
11. What is a current goal of yours?
    To grow my blog!

I nominate:

If you have more than 200 followers and I tagged you, go ahead and answer! But I tried my best to find the littler blogs that I follow!

Your questions:
1. Why did you start blogging?
2. What is your next blogging goal?
3. Where is your favorite place to shop?
4. What is your favorite piece of clothing?
5. What holiday gets you most excited?
6. What book could you read over and over?
7. What is the blog that you read the most and why?
8. What are your hobbies?
9. Name three random facts about yourself?
10. What is your worst pinterest fail?
11.  What is one of your daily rituals?

Have a great start to your week!

  4. Congratulations on the Liebster award! :)
And I agree flannel sheets just have to be the best- they always are so warm and cozy, which is a big +, because it is pretty cold in my flat, because the heating in the house is still not switched on, so therefore I like spending a lot of time in my bed under 2 blankets! :D

  5. That apple cobbler looks delicious! And those flannel sheets are so cute! Now that it's starting to get cold, investing in some might be a good idea! I love the small things blog too! She always has such amazing posts!

  6. Thanks so much! You post has, however, reminded me that I haven't had ANY kind of apple dessert yet this fall! I was going to try and start a diet, but it seems kind of sacrilegious to start it without first having some kind of apple baked good.
