Hair Hair Hair!

As you can imagine, in the nursing world it is better to have your hair out of your face at times. I don't have extremely long hair, but it is long enough that when I'm caring for a complicated or especially "messy" patient I want it pulled back. (I'm sure you can conjure some gross scenarios in your head all on your own- I'll spare you the details :) )However, I get bored with just a normal pony tail every day and I like to be different. So when I do have to pull my hair back, I use these!

These head bands are from bicbands.com. I love them for three reasons: they don't slide around your head, they don't give me a headache, and (you guessed it) they sparkle! They have a ton of colors! Don't worry, not all of them are glittery. They also have several thicknesses. They are a little more pricey than your average head band, but sooo worth it! I have gotten so much use out of mine!

I also love these pony tails. You can get them at a lot of different shops on Etsy, and now they are so popular you can even find them at Target. (Mine are from Etsy.) Again, I am loving these sparkles! I also loved the chevron pattern and the mint and pink color. These are so inexpensive too. And they are way more interesting than an average pony tail holder to tie your hair back. I also have a set of neon colors.

I received this Serge Norman hairspray in my birchbox. It worked okay, however was not such a great product that I will switch from what I normally use. I do plan to throw it in my work bag or purse for touch ups when I am on the go. I use hair spray a lot to try - I use the word "try" loosely - to keep the volume in my hair. No matter what I do though, I can't get it to stay all day. So this travel size hairspray will hopefully help me out that way!

I just thought I would throw in a pic of what hairspray I do normally use, and that is big sexy hair. It holds my hair for a lot of the day without making it crunchy or greasy, and it is easy to work with. I love it!

What hairspray do you use?

  1. Might have to try that hairspray, I can never find one that holds my hair all night but keeps it bouncy and shiny! I currently use Silverkin maximum hold purely because it keeps my hair rock solid when doing sport and the scent doesn't give me a headache but its not good if my hairs down and I want to secure curls etc!

  11. Love your sparkly head bands! I am kind of a tom boy usually found in running or farm clothes but I do like to jazz things up with a fun hand band. I may have to look for these!

I don't usually use hair spray because I straighten my hair and like it soft and silky but when I do to lighty tame freeze or hold up a pony tail, I like the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Touchable. I imagine it's a lot like yours! It's not sticky at all which is why I love it!
