Miscellaneous Product Review

I tried some more new products this week! For the most part, I really liked them. Two will become part of my normal beauty routine. One of the others - not so much. I started Birchbox this month. I won't review everything I got, as many other blogs have posted about September's box. I am very excited to see what new products I will get every month!

This one is my new favorite:

It came in my Birchbox. Dr. Lipp balm. I have really dry lips on a routine basis, and it's hard to keep them moisturized with plain chapstick. I tried this and loved it immediately. It is a thicker lip balm, so it hangs around much longer. I felt a difference after just one use. I went back and bought the full size!

I have been wanting to try this primer for a while now. I finally talked myself into it. I didn't buy it at first because it is expensive for such a small container - $11! The good news is, a little goes a long way. I do really like it. It makes my skin feel so smooth when I put it on. It doesn't really have a smell to it. (My previous primer smelled amazing.) So far, I am very pleased with this product, and I think that I will buy it again.

I received this sample in the box when I purchased my flat iron a few months ago. I threw it in my drawer at that point and forgot about it.

It is a deep nourishing conditioner. I had never heard of the brand, but I decided to be brave and try it. I hated it! It left my hair so so greasy! So greasy in fact, that I had to wash it again because I just couldn't stand it. This brand may have other great products, but after trying this one I may be discouraged from this brand in the future. This was a definite thumbs down.

Lastly, I wanted to follow up on my CHI Enviro review. It is going on my third month after using the product, which claimed to last 4 months. You can find my original review here.

I am still happy with this product. I can tell it is wearing off some. My hair doesn't stay as frizz free as it did within the first two months of using it. However, my hair still does dry mostly straight and my styling time is still cut down by at least 20 minutes. I am definitely still considering doing it again in a few more months. I still stand by my original review that it was worth the money. It cuts down on my blow drying which in turn makes my hair healthier.

What are your favorite items this week?

    1. September was my first box, and I'm sure I'll have some boxes where I don't like everything in it. But I loved all the products in it this month! I definitely recommend it!

    1. When I first squirted some out of the tube I didn't think I would like it based on the looks. But it works so well! You should :)

  3. I've had my eye on the primer from L'Oreal since I'm on the hunt for a new primer. Compared to some of the higher end products out there, that's pretty cheap (especially if you don't need a lot)! I'll have to give it a try when I run out of my current run. Great post!

  4. I still haven't gotten the opportunity to register for one of those boxes, although every blogger tells me it brings amazing products. Maybe Ill have to give it a try, I don't use a lot of primer, but I can always give it a try.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am loving yours! I don't use a primer currently so I've been looking for one to try so I loved seeing your review on the L'oreal one because with so many choices it's hard to choose which one to try first. Knowing ones people like really helps though :)
